There’s been some debate here at TSP about what to call these!

Some of us reckon they’re called “Flower Bricks”, which is a vase common in the 18th century and used for displaying separate flower stems. Our new vessels do that beautifully but they’re not really brick shaped so the name doesn’t feel quite right.

The other name that comes up is “Flower Frog”, which usually has spikes to hold the flower stems in place and is used in Ikebana. Again, not quite right … but because frogs sit quietly just below the surface of the water and because they’re cute we’re going with it. Flower Frog!

We’ve found they’re great for herbs in the kitchen, for random foraged leaves from the garden, and even for the final not-quite-dead blooms from the bunch that’s about to be thrown away.
